Built by people who have done this before.

Cymonz was founded by practitioners — people who spent decades inside international payments, who knew exactly what was broken and why, and who built something specifically to fix it.

Simon Lynch
Simon Lynch
CEO & Founder

Simon has spent over 20 years building and running international payments businesses. He founded Cymonz after selling his previous company, Lakros Technologies and Elldridge Lynch, to HiFX — and has spent the years since building the platform using his deep expertise of international payment markets. Cymonz was deliberately built hardest-markets first, proving the infrastructure in the Pacific Islands before expanding globally.

Cymonz — Founded 2012. Built from the Pacific Islands outward, proving the infrastructure in the world's most challenging corridors first.

Lakros Technologies — Co-founded and built. Sold to HiFX in 2008. Developed deep expertise across FX trading, compliance, and cross-border operations.

Elldridge Lynch — Former CEO. Early career in international payments, building expertise that now underpins the Cymonz platform.

"

We exist to make moving money internationally as easy as it is at home — so our clients, and the communities that rely on them, can thrive.

Cymonz was built hardest-markets first. Before scaling into Africa, the UK and Asia-Pacific, we built and proved the platform in Tonga, Samoa and Papua New Guinea — some of the world's most technically and operationally demanding remittance corridors.

That decision was deliberate. If you can make cross-border payments work reliably, compliantly and cost-effectively in those markets, the infrastructure is genuinely replicable anywhere. The same platform that powers Pacific remittances now serves one of Australia's largest regional banks and one of Africa's largest food retailers.

We are a small team doing significant things — and that's exactly how we want it. Every client gets senior attention. Every implementation is treated like it matters. Because it does.

The team

The right expertise across every part of the business.

Cymonz is led by a team that has done this before — across payments, technology, governance and international operations. That depth of experience is what you're buying when you choose us.

Adam Dowsett
Adam Dowsett
Chief Commercial Officer

Over 20 years in FX and cross-border payments. Adam built the SVB Transactional FX business globally. He has held senior roles at JP Morgan, HSBC and BNP Paribas, and brings together the commercial networks and operational credibility that financial institutions need to see.

Rebecca Tyson
Rebecca Tyson
Chief Product Officer

Rebecca leads product at Cymonz with a background in large-scale implementation across multiple markets and jurisdictions. She has deep experience in agile product development within RegTech and payments architecture — meaning Cymonz's product is built with the regulatory complexity baked in from day one, not bolted on after.

Michael Brown
Michael Brown
Chief Technology Officer

Nearly two decades in software engineering and infrastructure. At Cymonz, Michael leads the technical team behind the multi-tenant platform that banks, MSBs and remittance providers depend on for their cross-border operations. His background spans software architecture and systems engineering — the technical depth that running a platform across multiple clients, jurisdictions and environments demands.

Dave Lynch
Dave Lynch
Chief Operating Officer

A former senior New Zealand diplomat, Dave leads the operational and governance foundations of Cymonz — building the policies, procedures and corporate structures that underpin a world-class SaaS platform. He led the SOC 2 Type 2 attestation process and ensures the business operates to the highest standards of integrity and accountability as it scales globally.

How we work

Small team. Significant outcomes.

We've deliberately stayed lean so every client gets senior attention — and so we can move fast when it matters.

Hardest markets first

We built in Tonga, Samoa and PNG before we built anywhere else. Infrastructure that works in the world's most constrained corridors is infrastructure that works everywhere.

We're in it with you

No automated support queues. No generic responses. The team that sells to you is the team that delivers — and stays invested in your growth beyond go-live.

Trust is the product

SOC 2 Type 2 attested. Segregation of duties enforced at the platform level. Compliance built in from day one — not added when a client asks for it.

Social impact is core

The communities that rely on remittances aren't a secondary concern — they're the reason we started. Lower costs, greater transparency and expanded access are measurable outcomes we track.

Always evolving

We continuously improve the platform — stablecoins, open banking, new rails — shaped by real international client feedback. You benefit from every investment without building it yourself.

Straight answers

We'd rather set the right expectations early than oversell. If something isn't ready yet, we'll say so. If a configuration won't work, we'll tell you before you find out yourself.

Why it matters who you choose

Experience isn't a credential. It's the product.

01

We've operated inside the institutions we now serve

JP Morgan, HSBC, BNP Paribas — the Cymonz team has worked inside the organisations you're competing with. We understand the internal dynamics, the approval processes, and what a board actually needs to see.

02

Cross-border payments is our only focus

We don't offer core banking, lending, or a broader suite. We do one thing — cross-border payments infrastructure — and we do it better than generalists who treat it as a module.

03

Proven in regulated markets globally

From Pacific Island communities to major African retailers, UK fintechs and Australian banks — Cymonz is live across multiple continents, each with different regulatory requirements, rails and customer expectations.

04

Over a decade of continuous improvement

The platform your institution deploys today benefits from more than a decade of real-world iteration — not a greenfield build that looks good in a demo. That history is a risk reduction, not just a credential.

Track record

Live. Proven. Trusted at scale.

Long-term contracts are in place across banks, non-banks and remitters on four continents. With over $80B in turnover, a Visa partnership, and growing global infrastructure — Cymonz is built for the next growth phase.
